Tuff Shed Stands Strong: How It Survived a Windstorm in Washington
Discover how a Tuff Shed in Shelton, Washington, survived a powerful Pacific Northwest windstorm, proving its durability and reliability.
For Ron and Beth Mutchko of Shelton, Washington, unpredictable weather comes with the territory. But when a massive tree crashed down onto their Tuff Shed during a fierce Pacific Northwest windstorm, they were about to find out how reliable their shed could be.
A Search for Durability
The Mutchkos needed a shed to store their garden tools and equipment, something that could withstand the harsh elements of the Pacific Northwest. After seeing commercials of people riding on the roofs of Tuff Sheds, Ron and Beth were intrigued. Could these sheds really be as durable as advertised? They decided to give Tuff Shed a try.
An Effortless Installation
The purchase process was straightforward. “The sales process was no problem at all,” Ron recalls. “The shed arrived within a couple of weeks, and the crew had it up in just four hours.” The Mutchkos were impressed by the ease of the experience, and soon, they had a sturdy structure ready to tackle the weather.
The Day Nature Tested Tuff Shed
Not long after their Tuff Shed was installed, the Mutchkos faced their first major test. A typical Northwest windstorm swept through their property, sending a tree crashing down on their new shed. Ron, expecting the worst, quickly went outside to assess the damage. What he found surprised him: “All I saw was a hole and the tree leaning on it. But the shed was still standing!” The Tuff Shed survived the windstorm!
